I remember when I first got out of the NFL and started my speaking career…
Every time someone asked how to move forward—book me, connect, coordinate—I’d say:
“Reach out to my team.”
“Talk to my team.”
“My team will get you set up.”
And for some reason… it didn’t feel strong.
It felt weak.
It felt dependent.
It felt like I was less than.
I don’t know why, but every time I said it, I felt less confident… less capable… less in control.
But here’s what I’ve come to realize:
That wasn’t weakness… that was wisdom.
Because the truth is…
Most men aren’t losing because they’re weak.
They’re losing because they’re trying to win a team game… alone.

People who:
- Speak life into you
- Believe in you when you don’t
- Encourage you to keep going
Because let’s be real…
There are going to be days when it’s hard.
Days when you question everything.
Days when quitting feels easier.
And that’s when you need people in your corner saying,
“You’ve got this. Keep going.”
